Hi there! Local Southeastern Michigan farmer-florist here, specializing in Dahlias! Giving back to the earth with regenerative farming practices. We feed the soil and welcome birds and benificials to help with the pests.
Offering fresh, local specialty cut flowers within any budget. From $15 minis to full, intricate arrangements, bouquet subscriptions, bloom buckets, wrapped bouquets and everything in between, there are farm fresh, florist quality blooms for everyone!
While I grow many types of annuals and perennials, dahlias are my specialty. There are more types, colors and sizes of dahlias than I could ever have land for. With weather changes they will often take on different hues. They are majestic and pure, simple yet so complex. I offer dahlia blooms late summer through fall and dahlia tubers and cuttings to be shipped in the Spring.
All dahlias grown by me. The price is for one single tuber, hand dug and divided. Any plants showing signs of virus and failing to thrive are culled. Pruners are swapped out and sanitized between plants. While I believe it impossible to have stock that is 100% clean of illness, I am diligent about my precautions.

Dahlia Tubers
-
Each offer is for 1 dahlia tuber. My dahlias are divided down to single tubers with all components needed to grow a healthy plant. Eye, neck and body. The size of the tuber is not important, it is just a root that holds life for the plant until it grows roots. Big, fat, skinny, short, & stubby, they all possess the same nutrition needed to grow. I often cut down my larger tubers, sprinkle with cinnamon and let heal over before I plant. It is said that the larger tubers can become “lazy” because of the excess of nutrients. Some tuber varieties lose moisture easier than others. Once planted in moist soil the tubers will plump back up. This does not affect the beautiful plant that will be grown.
Please contact me within 3 days of arrival with clear pictures if your tubers/cuttings are the wrong variety. All tubers sent out have been confirmed to have at least one eye. Each tuber is inspected several times by myself, using a scope if necessary as some may still be dormant. I do my very best to only send out the best viable tubers. In the event if I do make a mistake, you have my word I will make it right. Any mislabeled tubers will either be refunded or a replacement sent the following spring. Please send a photo of the incorrect plant. I use a three label system and have avoided mix ups this far, but these things can happen.
I sadly inform you that I am unable to combine shipping this year. Orders cannot be changed or cancled once placed. We cannot be responsible for illness, growing conditions, rot, Mother Nature, etc after this live product leaves our farm. In the event of an issue with USPS, it is required that the customer contact their local branch to file a claim. As tubers are perishable and can at times be difficult to store over winter, in the event of a storage failure we will notify you of a refund, credit or replacement options if available. Farming is risky business and while we do everything possible to ensure all tubers survive storage, Mother Nature has the final say. Please understand that these things can happen and are out of our control. We will always do our best to rectify the situation.
